Wrong car? Help!
As a loyal S2000 owner I say stick with your decision on the S2000. I bought mine used (and I never buy used cars) with about 10k miles on it. The stock tires lasted up to 14k and I have to attribute some of that to the previous owner. I put a set of Toyo's on the car at 14k and I am about to replace the rear tires with 32K on the car (18k on the rear tires). i have never even thought about replacing the clutch.
I'll have to admit, I am adicted to the attention I get when i am driving
. Guys seem to gauk in envy, women seem to like the roadster, and most don't seem to know what type car it is until you tell them. I love to watch people checking it out in a parking lot or at a stop light. when I drive my wife's Xterra, I certainly notice a difference in the attention I get. At the Honda dealership, they treat me very well and they even remember my name - even when it has been 4-6 months since I was there.
Bottom line is the car is meant for someone who likes to drive, likes to feel the road and the wind in their hair. I don't drive mine hard unless I really need to move in traffic or making turns. It is really nice to know that the power is there when you need it.
Don't sweat it - you can't go wrong with the S2000.

I drove a '99 Z3 2.3 for three years and thought I was in heaven UNTIL I got my S2000 recently. The 'S' is about 10 times the fun factor of the Z3. Got back in a Z3 like mine recently and felt like I was driving a small bus. Huge steering wheel, steering slow to respond and lots of body flex and body roll. Go for the Honda- much better car.
