Shove it up your ass before you put it on. If they steal it; hey, at least you're not the one with an antenna that's been up someone else's ass.

Agree, i mean some things you gotta take it, like seat locks, here in south florida we have a huge problema with seat theft, i honestly see those bastards get frustrated and TRASH cut rip of with knifes the seats .... this little car has it's risks ... full insurance covers that, in the case of the antenna gluing IMO makes it way worst ...
Yup, around here, that superglue trick would end up costing you much more than a new antenna.

I saw a glue job where the dude tried twisting it off by bending the antenna sideways to get torque and destroyed the antenna, the mount, and bent part of the car breaking the whole thing off (and left it dangling on the car in the parking lot).

Years ago, someone cut the seats (one large slash on the back and the bottom of the each seat) topped off with some urine. I presume because the screws were welded (the screws were shredded where the would-be thief tried to get them off with channel locks or something).

Those guys were nice about it...if you ran across a angry thief, he might pop your tires and polish the hood with a screwdriver if you waste too much of his time.

I would reckon that more often than not, those tricks are gonna cost you more aggravation then just letting him take the antenna.
