So I was looking at s2000 auctions, and at first glance I noticed what appeared to be an Imola Ap2. Not sure if that's the exact color, but....check out the fenders . So random and out of place, good example of an Identity Crisis!

The car's in good shape.
The fenders, while different, aren't a deal breaker for me.

 

my guess is that in the accident that it was in the fenders got messed up and those were the cheapest replacements

Yea not necessarily a deal breaker for me either. Though I would change swap those fenders out. And it's not that they're "different," IMO these fenders are about the equivalent of Altezza tail lights on a civic.

 

Salvage title and was repainted... looks like they wanted to add a little touch to be different.. I love the color.....

 

Wonder what the reserve is set at. I mean what can they really expect from a salvage title?

 

If he did it as a cheaper replacement, then you have to wonder where else he cut corners.

If he did it because he wanted a different look, then it's also not a deal breaker for me.

Given that he decided to paint it orange, I'm going to say he wanted a different look. But I would be especially cautious of the damage since he might have still cut corners. I would want to see before pictures and repair receipts.
