Spoon X brace compatible with after market lower strut bars? I'm not sure how the x brace mounts and wonder if other than stock front lower bar will allow x brace mounting; I have the Neuspeed lower bar. I'm thinking it wouldn't work. BTW, the Neuspeed attached with stock bolts.

Did the Nuespeed lower bar replace the stock tie bar or go in front of it?

here is the X bar on my car.

If the Neuspeed replaced the stock tie bar you see behind the X bar, then they both should work together just fine.

Excellent picture, Krazik-s2k, and it helps quite a bit. The stock indeed was replaced by the Neuspeed, but Neuspeed is thicker than stock at mounting point, so the mounting point for the x-bar would be lower than if stock were there. I will study the pix in more detail after checking the Neuspeed again.

Thanks much!!

Hey guys,

Sorry for being such a Johnny-come-lately, but that's the first time I saw the Spoon X brace. It looks like a real nice piece. How much does it weigh?

FYI, when I saw the Mugen front undertray, I think it used similar, if not the same, mounting points for the structural bars to reduce the tray's flex. I wonder if it does a similar job in reducing front chassis flex... If so, those that buy the Mugen front lip spoiler will also get the added benefit!

I am not sure on the exact weight, but it is light.

I would think that the X bar would provide better stabilty than a flat tray, but I never have seen mugen's tray.

Krazik-s2k-

The Mugen undertray is a polyurethane (PU) molded deflector, held in place by the braces I mentioned before.
