BigWave10, I notice your S2000 does not have a strut tower brace. Would be interesting to determine if the addition of such a brace would further improve feel and handling.

I just noticed that tpn, who had a stb prior to x-brace, did notice a difference after x-brace. Interesting.

prolene - I had the RM strut brace and noticed a bit stiffer ride when I installed that a year or so ago. I noticed a more dramatic stiffening with the x brace and I have mugen's big sway bar on the way.

I expect even more improvement with that

All other suspension is stock

I have the spoon brace and while I'm used to it now, the turn in is much quicker and the chassis a bit stiffer.

That said, I would first recommend a stiffer sway bar like the Mugen 31.8mm bar. The changes are more dramatic and more positive IMO. Far less body roll (almost none) but you should also consider the rear bar as well. Replacing the front only will cause understeer in most cases while a matched set will be more balanced like stock but without any body roll even at higher speeds. For autox you can only change the front bar and some understeer is good for a tight course. On the track and road you'll want both as understeer at higher speeds is both slow and annoying.

You have a very good point, the digrappa x brace is designed to work with the OEM brace that is there. double stiffness. I don't know if the others are as well.

the top brace may make a little diffrence, I'd expect not too much. I noticed very little, but noticible difference with just the strut brace. They do look cool though, more of a race car look and they aren't too expensive..

I had to laugh when I looked at the results of the above poll. If anyone installed this Digrappa X-brace and says "I felt little difference" or "I felt no difference" or "I wasted my money"..... those individuals are no doubt "on crack".

I suspect they are non-users (except the crack) and probably non-S2 owners wanting to simply push a button. That's like saying my black car is really red or my a_s is located on the bottom of my foot or something else equally stupid.

it may just have to do with what brace people got and how observent they are. Some folks may not actually be able to notice much difference

I have heard some racers say that they don't think the x brace will make much of a difference because a brace isn't needed where these fit....their opinion and for some SCCA classes (A) i think specifically...they aren't allowed to have one..
