I would hardly think that the S2k with a billet brace can even compare with a full built race car tube frame, but it may add the slightest bit of impact rigidity, that is if the bolts do not shear off first. Remember impact force is MUCH greater than that of the smooth cornering forces, this means that if you did hit a wall, the brace would probably just fall off the car, as the bolts snap. Just my opinion though

I agree with Mark and Prolene on this. I'm quite sure the bolts would sheer off and the brace would fall to the ground or at least a couple of them would break under enough impact and not cause any transfer of impact force to the passenger compartment...

Interesting take on it, though, 2X6...

I also wondered about whether the bolts would snap and the billet brace fall to the ground, but I've never seen parts just fall off like that in accidents. I suppose it's possible but I don't think there's any reason to expect the bolts to snap.

My comments are not meant as criticism of the mdg brace, it is a beautiful thing. Just a thought.
