I haven't read all 7 pages, so forgive me if I repeat a suggestion.
Why not limit the guest accounts a little more. Like the signatures can only be a few lines, etc. Maybe a badge limit (or a ugly "not a member" badge). Or limit Group Buys to members only, etc.
The best I would htink would be a post limit on how many posts you can make a day.
And as a few people mentioned, maybe a few more mods to help weed out all the crap and personal attacks on the forum.
Lastly, why not leave the forum on your new and old servers, the members get to login to the newer higher speed one (hey, they bought it) and the guests can loginto the older, slightly slower one.

DJ, such restrictions are definitely being considered right now. Post limitations (not exclusions) will probably be instituted based on membership levels.
Regarding the personal flame, I have something to say about that. Your COs and moderators are not paid for their service to the site. We do it for the same reason that this whole post exists -- to give back to the s2ki community.
I think most of us hate policing the site. Weeding out personal attacks is necessary sometimes, but it's not what we like to do. I would hate to see us adding mods and COs just for that purpose.
