Chaz -- It's good that you're staying active in this thread, as your presence may help keep it from degenerating.

The issue of how the other ones got dumped, though, is real, especially because the truly offensive one in SoCal remains alive, unlocked, and growing. Yes, you have no ability to do anything about it, but others (who are not the SoCal COs) do -- and they haven't. Yet something happened to the threads here.

It just doesn't look good to people who are upset that Dave up and left. HPH

 

I hope so, Doc. I'm still really upset about this, but XV's a big boy and I don't feel I have to defend him.

What I *do* feel obligated to do is to try to keep this discussion on the up and up. Lots of people have lots of reasonable things to say. So be it.

I can't speak as to why these threads have been removed, the admin is off line. however, I think the purpose of this petition is very admiral and xviper will appreciate it. At this point my feeling is he won't be back, and I think we need to respect his decision. I have met Dave and I am a fellow prairie redliner and friend. He became a CO because of his dedication to the community, he became a moderator because of his knowledge. I respected and trusted him thus the positions he held on this site. I have lost count of how many discussions I had with him over the stresses of the people on this site. You know I am not surprised. There are a few of us at the point of burn out.

Any issues that you feel are admin doing, please do not continue to bring this up in these petition threads. This is not an avenue to vent on every little thing that we do to you.

I am going to ask everyone as a personal favour to please just keep the crap off this thread.
