I don't disagree with you, Don. I'm editing that offending post out of your post since, obviously, you don't want me to close this thing.
Understood, justified or not, right or wrong, I guess I was indeed perpetuating the type of behavior that made XV leave.

Its soo sad to see someone whos saved MULTIPLE people on this site thousands of dollars in labor costs with his countless DIY threads and advice get caught up in the garbage idiots that have been filling this site over the past year.

I miss S2ki from 2 years ago!

Come back X viper!

Id understand if you didnt though.

Please add my name to the list.

Wow I don't post on here as much as I use to so this is a shock........

I can understand X vipers point of view. He has contributed so much to this site and also time and the amount of disrespect from many of the newer members were showing to him post after post.

Not sure if its the atittude of the site changing.

And why does his avatar still say "forum jackass" Did a mod put it on there?

Losing X Viper is a HUGE loss, espicially to the tech areas and help needed of the site.

good luck though x!

Viper will be missed by all of us in the community. I hate to lose him from this site.

I am very new here, but this is not the kind of interpersonal (albeit electronic) discussion that I expected from my $50/year membership in S2KI.

MODs/ADMINs: It sounds like there are a lot of pent up emotions out in the community; a lot of long-term people upset at the nubs, etc. Maybe now is a good time to overhaul the site - improve on the great parts and get rid of the rest.

Maybe a survey from the family - all of us - geared toward helping the community and its members prevent another fiasco such as this.

Personally, I am disappointed that XViper had to even consider leaving. He obviously is one of the most respected (and disrespected) members. Like they said in "Dead Poets Society": "Things like this bring [web communities] down.

You can add my name to the petition. If we all remember why we even come here and spend our valuable time - the love of this fascinating and boredom-ridding car - the site will continue to be one of the best on the net.
