As far as people who complain because their car isn't fast enough- there is a simple solution: get rid of it! Buy something else that is faster, safer, more luxurious, and more fun.

If its not fast enough for you, mod it.

Most Acura buyers never think about C230s having more torque than TSXs, G35s will outhandle the crap out of TLs, and a Viper will outpower an NSX heavily. Most Honda buyers are up to their eyes in Honda dogma
That's a tautology. If you are a Honda buyer, then by definition you preferred the Honda product over its competitors.

One could say the same thing about any people who buy any non-commodity.

Besides, I like a company that has always offered its factory service manuals to the public. They are so much better than the junk that is available for most other car makers.

I got rid of my 400 hp evo for an S2k. I cant use that kind of speed everyday, even if it took me 2 years to realize it. The S2k is fun to drive, speed can go get ####ed

Faster: easy
Safer: difficult (less accident prone = easy)
More luxurious: easy
More fun: very, very difficult

Two thoughts:

1> I don't care, I don't need to be fast4r than anyone, as long as I'm enjoying the drive I can damn well be the slowest

and

2> after getting a ride in a 490whp turbo S2000 last week... quite yer bitching and do something about it if you are someone who cares about being fast4r

Why is this all about being faster? It's about a model change. I know that the title says "acceleration", but I haven't been arguing about acceleration.

However, I will admit that if a next gen S2000 comes out with 237 hp, I will be dissappointed. I'd love to see one with closer to 320 hp at the crank.

1) Why do you guys think that newer equals worse?

2) Why do you guys think that newer equals heavier?

Mazda has made two successful nex gen Miata's without adding too much weight to the car and the newest version is definately the best.

Quick Reply: as the years roll by, acceleration stays the same
