I'm OK with the S2K's horsepower. No need to get caught up in a big dick contest, after all anything more than a mouthful is a waste.

I'm not reading the entire thread to see if anyone else caught this... but man, did you realize you combined those two euphemisms like that?
The NSX was never a $50k car. It was stickered right at $60k initially. That was some coin back then, but still well under the others it was compared to.
To those that say bigger engine, more power- where do you plan on putting this power down? On the streets? Several of you have already stated you couldn't get out of other cars' ways.
for racing on the streets!
for being punked into running by other cars!
Gawd, I hate the guy who linked me to this thread.
Some of you get it; most of you don't.
As one of the members mentioned, AP2's do put out more power stock vs. stock. Funny how the rest of the world still has 2.0L(or they used to anyway). Our gluttony as a society knows no bounds. It is only matched by our collective stupidity.

That's a risk I'm willing to take... In fact, I'd probably be the one buying the Type-R anyway, so I'd expect to spend in the low $40k range for one of those babies.
Oh, and to give some bit of substance to my posts, I drove and tracked my 2.0L. I drove and tracked my sc'd 2.0L(310 rwhp on track; later made 400 rwhp). I currently drive and track my 2.5L stroker with some weight reduction(2650# w/ half tank of gas).

And for the record, I'm not really a Honda fan. I just happen to really like the S2000. I did own a '93 NSX for a short time. That thing was soooo much quieter than the S, but not nearly as nimble.
