Default For you guys with the Comptech SC

Just wondering, the air filter sits in the engine bay underneath the carbon fiber covering correct?

I was just thinking, anyone ever try getting some piping and routing it down lower into the front bumper? So that the filter sits like the Injen or AEM CAI's? So basically making a CAI for the SC.... What do you SC'ed guys think of this idea?

you should check out wesmaster's setup. just do a search and you'll see his pics, or check out his website. that's exactly what he has done.

Hum, Ah, Hello, ahem...

What about me? You aren't going to ask me about my experiences?

Before I installed the Comptech filterbox, I experimented with an insulated aluminum dual-filtered system that put two filters right at each of my opened "faux-vents":

I insultaed it bacause it ran right by the radiator and coolant lines.

My point: with filters right at cold-air openings... I gained 0 HP. I ran dyno pulls with the Comptech filterbox + big fan and then my custom setup + big fan and there was no difference:

The hose from the Comptech box is not the "real" one... that was just dryer hosing/duct tape for quick experimental purposes.

Seriously HeNeSSey, there's not a lot I haven't tried... so just ask. I will be able to say what worked, didn't work, or what was such a pain in the butt that it just wasn't worth it.

HOWEVER, please do run things that I say/do by other people to get second opinions. I am a hobbyist and not a professional <-- disclaimer
