This is my favorite part of the article.

"If you're not into street racing, why would you need that?" Riverside Police Traffic Sergeant Skip Showalter asked an enthusiast during a similar crackdown last year. "Why would you want more power going to your car?"

Then why do the allow the production of ZO6's, Porsches', Lambo's, ferraris, etc...

I think I would have tried pinching myself. I would have a hard time believing it was happening. Too bad a FATF style breakout didn't happen (Second one I think?)

Indeed. The rest of you realize this wasn't printed in an actual newspaper, right?

It probably goes to show that if one has illegal mods/parts on their cars, they shouldn't be stupid enough to loiter on private property. The Canyon Crossing shopping center management probably found a good way to keep these people from congregating in their parking lot at night.

tehre was a big kmart raid in houston about 2002 i think.. anyone that was in the kmart parknig lot was arrested including people that were using that lot to go to the restaurant next door. it was a huge bust that resulted in nothing but a few small tickets. cops thought they were busting on street racers but i guess they cracked down at the wrong time. just as stupid as this.

Politics for ya. Either you are apart of it, or be a victim of it. Either way, we are all apart of it someway or another.
