Actually....in high school I (and my sister) were like the only kids without a car and frequently had to walk to school through the tundras of North Dakota in 3-4 feet of snow in -20 degree weather. Then I finally bought a 1994 Mercury Sable in my junior year. My friend used to give me rides in his 97 mercury cougar and I thought his car was sooo nice. But I digress and derail...

Wow when I was 18 I walked to work uphill, at night, all while making minimum wage while paying parents rent for living their house.
Sounds like the suck bro.

I'm one of those spoiled dicks when I was 18. When I was 18 I was rolling around in a Mazda RX-8.

To those who question a teenager's ability to handle sports cars: I had an RX8, and then a MazdaSpeed6. The MazdaSpeed6 makes more torque and power out of the box than the pissant 2.2L in our cars.

All three of my cars, I bought with my parent's money.

I've never had an accident. Ever. Nor have I ever had any close calls. The only driving records on my license are two speeding tickets. One justified, and given in a very secluded area. The other not.

I just save my shit for the track.

It's about taking pride in your driving skill, and having respect for your parents. You recognize that what they've given you is a PRIVILEGE, not a right, and that privilege can be taken away any time they wish.

If you have the right mentality, you'll be fine in a sports car, no matter your age.

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys, I appreciate it.

As for teenage drivers, yes I can agree that most are to immature to even drive a go kart, let alone an S. Yet, some of us are quick learners and actually had a good set of parents to show us the way. I wouldn't have owned an S if my father didnt volunteer to make the down payment. I think the fact that I had to pay for everything else made me appreciate the luxury of having such an amazing vehicle at my age. Most of us are not the same though, I still have a friend who drives like a maniac in a 240sx with a skyline gtr body kit, stock ka24 and an exhaust. The worst part about it is that the idiot has the nerve to call it a real skyline lol.

By next level, I meant im going to gradually upgrade my S with bolts on and not go straight for boost. I think ill just get everything ready and reliable for boost before I even think about throwing a kit on there. Im in no rush to get a speeding ticket as I have been so lucky to have a clean record this far. Although, a gt30 kit from mase would give me wet dreams, I dont think I have enough knowledge on the matter.

As for the picture, no its not on my myspace? No idea if youre trying to be cute but youll have to jab alot harder to get a real response from me

There are alot more younger owners than I thought! Alot of lucky kids with rich parents. I have paid everything for myself since about 16-17. My first car was my own insurance policy, my own money. My S2000 purchased with my own money, insured with my own money. I still pay rent living with my parents. I cant get 20 dollars out of them unless I cried for it! I was obviously born into the wrong family

I share your pain, but it's more self imposed than anything, I'm too stubborn to allow my parents to pay for anything of mine lol.
