unbelievable. it really is about individual priorities... for example, i wont let more than 10% of my take home income go into a car. sounds like some of you youngins are spending 50 or 60% of your cash on this car.

when i first got out of college, i was makin $6/hr full time and could barely survive WITHOUT a car payment... damn - i think a brand new model goes for like $500/mo. not counting insurance. thats like what i made altogether back then...

out my way, a mortgage will run you over $3000/mo for a condo (unlike the deep south).

but hey, its all about where the money goes. are you guys gettin plenty of chicks from having this car?

As I said, I am 18, but pay for my car by myself. I am only working 30 hours per week, but plan to get another job to save up for a SC and other mods. Its worth it and all my money goes towards it. How much do all of you guys pay for insurance?

I'm 19 and got my S when I was 18, and am currently trying to sell so I can get an E46 M3. Also I pay for it myself.

wow....that is amazing. I envy all your situation.
I make decent money but not enough for me to go and spend 600+/month on car payments.

I still have my GTi. Which is nice car but I do drool over s2000 every time I see one passing by. nice car....very nice car.
