youngest s2k owner
GEdrew...you're F'n killing me. About time we had more people like you that speak their mind instead of being a bunch of PC pussies. I am just rolling reading your responses. Just a note, granted at ages 15 - 19 I WOULD HAVE LOVED to have an s2000. Unfortunately it was not meant to be...plus even IF i could've purchased the car, my parents would've been smart enough to not allow it. Parents who allow their 15/16/17 year olds to own/drive an s2000 or any other comparable sportscar are idiots, they are too busy being their children's "Friend" instead of being a parent. Just put that deposit on the bail bond or cemetery plot now.
i dont have an s2000, but im a youung "kid" with an expansive car, im 20 i go to school full time, and work 30hours a week. i live at home though, so 90% of my $ goes to payments/insurance/gas.
someone should lock this thread. it seems a lot of members are not getting along in this post. when we disagreed with someone we would simply say it in a nice way. this thread people are fighting and ripping each other apart. this is not how it is. this club has always been the best at getting along and not having trolls disgrace this place. we should all stop now and start over tomorrow and pretend all this nonsense never happened.

I obsessed over the S2000 for years before I got it. I fell in love with it the first time I saw it, at 13. Alot of people are complaining about younger owner's ruining the S, I say it's all the stuck up people with one. The few S owner's I have encountered that looked at me or other S owners with condemnation, have made the S and the community look bad. Not a single elder owner looks any better for being older, or knocking a younger owner. I have more respect for my car than alot of other's I know. I just encountered an (older) S owner, whom I wanted to say "Hi" to and congradulate on his car...when I pulled up, I was first ignored, after saying hello, he talked down to me (while pumping regular 87 octane fuel into his car). Then bragged about it being his SECOND S, seeing as it was an '00 or '01 (plastic rear window) I would say he wrecked his first and it was a sign of his superiority to be on #2...??? I did work hard for my S, after handing down my '99 civic to my parents. I feel, as many have said, if one (me) has earned and payed for their S then they deserve just as much respect as any other owner. I DO not and WILL not claim to being a better driver or have more experience, which is why I am more reserved with my car. Well.........I'm gonna give up the soap box now........to all younger S owner's: good for you, live it, appreciate it. Trust me, it's fun, but how cool do you look wrapped around a tree? Oh, and I'm currently 16.

P.S. Of course you didn't have an S when you were 16, they didn't have them when you were that age!

I am 21 now. I got my 1st S2000 (00 Silverstone) when I was 18, then I traded it in for a 2nd S (02 Suzuka B) when I was 20.
even I have a job but it's not enough to afford the S. The reason I can afford is I basically live off my parent's royalties...

You young dudes rule. I'm 26 and wanted an RX-7 back when I was 17. Of course they were brand new and were almost $40,000 back then. I worked, but never made more than $10.00 an hour. So it was improssible for me to afford a really nice car and pay for college. If you have an S2000 and you're below 20, I envy you. You can actually holla at all the young girls that gwak at the car. I can just smile and keep rolling. I still can pass for 21, but I can't holla at the young chicks anymore.
