Your Need For Speed
meh. no where to go that fast in hawaii
I only hit 120~maybe, in my firebird. Scary though cuz it was real wide open. once I saw the cars, I slammed my brakes but damn brake fade = scary stuff. 120-10mph in fat american car, even w. upgraded brakes (WS6 suspension, brakes) = baad.

I've only gone 117 or so, and that was with the top down on an empty 4 lane freeway at 3am. Only went that fast to keep myself awake on the way home from black friday shopping. I really don't see the big deal with going fast in a straight line. Half the speed through the mountain gives me a much bigger rush.

No wonder your signature lists the Firebird as totaled.
That said, I was a passenger in a 1976 Dodge Dart Police Package at 156 indicated on the supposedly calibrated speedometer.

the total was from some idiot who pulled a U-turn in front of me...from my right across three lanes of traffic. I couldnt stop in time because it was raining

+ 2K more. I paid 3K for car, got 5K insurance
