/agree 120 in a straight has nothing on coming up to a sharp turn at 80-90. thats a rush you can't duplicate on a highway.

meh. no where to go that fast in hawaii I only hit 120~maybe, in my firebird. Scary though cuz it was real wide open. once I saw the cars, I slammed my brakes but damn brake fade = scary stuff. 120-10mph in fat american car, even w. upgraded brakes (WS6 suspension, brakes) = baad.

I have hit 135 on the HOV in DC. Not in an S2000 though. No there were no cars around so the only one I would've deleted is myself.

I've only gone 117 or so, and that was with the top down on an empty 4 lane freeway at 3am. Only went that fast to keep myself awake on the way home from black friday shopping. I really don't see the big deal with going fast in a straight line. Half the speed through the mountain gives me a much bigger rush.

Ive taken it to 134, probably will never do that again. Felt stable, but like others have said, one little thing and youre done for.

No wonder your signature lists the Firebird as totaled.

That said, I was a passenger in a 1976 Dodge Dart Police Package at 156 indicated on the supposedly calibrated speedometer.
LOL the total was from some idiot who pulled a U-turn in front of me...from my right across three lanes of traffic. I couldnt stop in time because it was raining but the $ from insurance got me my SS + 2K more. I paid 3K for car, got 5K insurance

76 dodge? is that still 4wheel drums? HAHAHA thats SCARY.
