Default Your s2k after accident

Just wondering if anyone else feels the same way. On new year's day my s2k was parked out in front of my g/f's house and her neighbor backed into it. It was only cosmetic damage (had to replace the fender) and insurance took care of everything. Something about the car just doesn't feel the same. When I look at it I remember how it got busted and while the shop did a great job fixing it it isn't perfect. I almost wonder if it's my eyes playing tricks on me or if the spots were I feel like you can see the color not matching perfect are really not that obvious. I'm pretty sure if anyone else was to look at the car it wouldn't be obvious enough and you would never know it was in an accident but some part of me feels disconnected from the car almost to the point of wanting to sell it so I can get another one that hasn't ever seen damage or just get the entire thing repainted.

silly or I'm not alone?

I've been down this road before. You'll probably get over it.

it takes a little while to get over it but i love mine again and my whole rear subframe had to be replaced, the paint may not match cuz your stock paint may be a tad faded or scratched ect, o silverstone is a really hard color to match mine seems like it has too much flake in it now hella gay...

Its all in your mind.

But I agree. Unmolested is so hard to find...

The only good thing is you dont care about the car too much.

Mine was involved in a fender bender accident also. The front bumper, and the right fender had to be replaced; and the right front wheel repainted.

The repair was done by the dealer. I am 85% happy with the result. In terms of the quality of the repair, I'd say I am very satisfied. Panel gaps and paint quality are as good as new; yet the new fender has a slightly darker tone then the rest of the car. The front bumper's color matches prefectly though. The repainted wheel shows some paint cracks after a while; and is not as shiny as the orginal wheels.

When I drive over certain bumps, there is some shaking noise coming from the front; I guess it has somethng to do with the plastic fender housing banging around (I guess)...

No, it is not the same anymore. But I've accepted it. I have the same feelings for my S2000 as ever.

I've had a couple of incidents that required replacement, repair and painting. Can't say I feel the same way as the OP. Rio's difficult to match but the shop did an excellent job both times and I can't tell the difference.
