Z4 Disaster. When will BMW get it right?

[B]In any road course the Z4, with it's 50 extra pounds of torque, would pull one to two car lengths on the S2000 exiting each and every corner.
I'm getting a Toyota Prius then. The 2004 version will come with a 500-volt, 67 horsepower electric motor that will have a whopping 295 lb-ft of torque from 0 to 1200 rpm.
The current motor is rated at 273 volts, 44 HP and 258 lb-ft of torque from 0-400 rpm. Both would probably blow our collective (S2K and Z4) doors off anyway
(0-60 times in the mid 10 second range for the NEW motor, with all that torque

I think it all depends on the driver and also what you want... On a Race track you can have all that torque you want but whats the use of all that torque if you dont know how to drive it.. Its all about skills

Over a 50 or 60 lap race, the Z4 would probably lap the Honda, even if the S2000 driver was able to keep the S2k in vtec the entire race.

Good post....
I guess the 3 corvettes (2 were Z06's) I ran down and passed yesterday (on a road course, summit Point) must have had broken engines..
Obviously you have never driven on a race track.
There is a lot more to getting a fast lap than HP and torque..
