00 S2000 clutch problems
I have a 2000 s2000 with 103k on it, i bought this car last year with about 100k on it. The clutch engagement point was okay when i first bought it but right now it engage right at the top of the pedal(litterally engage and disengage right at the top).
I have tried adjustment the master cylinder rod which changes the pedal height but the engagement point still engage at the top which make it hard to take off from a stop
smoothly..
I have also flushed the clutch fluid and check the master cylinder and did not see any leaks, the clutch is not slipping. I could floored it in any gear at rpm and it will hold and not rev aka slipped. I can dump the clutch at 6k from a stop and it would actually bogged down, i think my clutch is worned down and need replacement but its not slipping yet but the previously owner said the clutch was recently replaced which is strange.
Does this sound like a worn disc causing high engagement point and need clutch replacement or possibly a slave/master cylinder problem? maybe the previous owner lied about the clutch being replaced?
