What a great way to make my first post. I bought my 02 AP1 used with 109k miles. This morning i go out to my car and it won't start.has power (new Battery) but when i press the start button it makes a loud whirring noise like a hair dryer. 2002 Honda S2000 won't start: http://youtu.be/5y7tBUyDOvM
I checked all the fuses but I'm wondering if the starter isn't engaging and this is the sound I'm hearing. Any help that can be offered is appreciated. I love this car immensely but damn this makes me sad lol

 

I cannot hear the sound in your video but from the dash lights dimming i'd say it's your battery. I've had new batteries be defective before, that's the first thing i'd try

 

You say it sounds like a blowdryer, is it like a whirring sound? It could be that the starter bendix gear isn't popping out to engage the flywheel. If you run out of ideas, this could be it.

 

sounds like a messed up starter motor, try to get a jump from someone and if that still doesn't work it's def the starter motor , I recently had something like this with an accord.
