Default 02 sensor

im trying to change my exhaust. i've broke lose the first o2 sensor in the header no problem ( as i had to change header) and i got it back in. but the 2nd o2 sensor on the exhaust part wont budge for anything. my 24mm wrench slips. so i got vise grips on it as hard as i can and it still wont budge.

anyone think they can help?

It should be a 22mm not a 24mm. All OEM sensors are 22mm

Get a 02 sensor socket.

you were lucky on the first sensor, it is 22mm, I just pulled both of mine. An o2 sensor socket works well too, you can actually torque it to spec with an o2 sensor socket, otherwise a 22mm open end wrench will do it.

please do not soak the o2 sensor with anything, apply what you need and use a proper tool

those sensor are well over a hundred a pop adn they are very very fragile.

please save those new york wrench for home improvement project and get rent an o2 sensor adopter at autozone, did i mention it's free rental?

i didnt litterally mean soak it. i just applied it to the rusted bolt part a little around in a circle.

and i tried autozone and they didnt have any at mine ( our autozone sucks)

btw the wd40 and vise grips did the trick on the first try
