I've had cars with blown head gaskets that would display those same symptoms. With your overheating and all, it may be a possibility.

every time you disconnect your battery, you will have to do the ecu relearn procedure or just let it idle for 10-15mins. If after that it dies again when you come to a stop then there's a problem eslewhere.

We'll, if there was truly just air in your system and you've flushed it, and are no longer overheating than I think you're probably fine. But if you continue to overheat its something to look into.

The idle relearn helps initially, but is not completely necessary. Yes, not doing it may cause a stall or two when you initially start driving, but the car will eventually learn over a short while of driving.

The op just recently had a cylinder misfire that I'm not sure was ever resolved. I remembered him from his "all caps" typing style. He did a comp test but never posted the numbers, so could be a lot of things.
