I'd agree with xviper but you may not know where the secret compartment is if you don't have a manual.

I just replaced mine. (Thanks to all who recommended new H1s)
Pull connector off.
Remove rubber boot. This is somewhat difficult as the front edge locks in for a good seal. It takes a little patience, but once you raise one edge, it will pull right off.
Look inside... There is a spring clip that must be pushed in to disconnect, this pivots back out of the way once disconnected. Careful, when the lower portion of this spring mechanism swings away the bulb will be free.
Pay attention to the orientation on removal, there are two 'projections' that align the bulb on reassembly.
Pull old h1 from socket and replace.
Clean new h1 with alcohol to eliminate oils from hand.
Reinstall in reverse order.
It helps to peek through the headlight to help with assemble alignment.
Patience......
By the way, which brand did you select?

Ok, I rolled around a little trying to sleep last night. The old H1
removed from the s2k is listed at 55 Watts on the back alignment plate.
Power in Watts / Voltage in Volts = Current in Amps (Current wants to melt wires)
Bigger wires carry more Amps .
Original H1 : 55 Watts / say 12 Volts (Engine Off) = 4.6 Amps
My Sylvania Silverstars : 65 Watts / 12 Volts = 5.4 Amps
Your H1 : 100 Watts / 12 Volts = 8.3 Amps
I am not sure what the factory wiring is capable of. You might want to find out by calling Honda or asking one of the others listed above on this thread. They are very knowledgeable individuals. High power light kits from Hella and such have a design limit of wattage where they add an isolation relay to the circuit and use heavier wiring to handle this increase in current. The factory wires only handle the current required to turn this relay on or off.
Also, heat takes time to build (inverse time-current curve, more current = less time), the problem may take some 'on time' to appear. This generally happens at a really bad time of day...(night).
Ask me, I did this to a Camaro some 15 odd years ago.... If you find success, let me know. I may step up the wattage as well...
Good Luck.
