I have the 04 radio door and I cant figure out how to get it into where it should go on the bracket for the 01 consol. Can it be done, what the trick???

 

Pull the whole thing out. Open the door, and give it a tug. The whole housing (with the 2 vents) will come out. Then you'll need a punch of some sort to push out the pins, from inside to outside. I use a cotter pin that is opened up (the halfmoon shape of the cotter pin is a perfect fit)
