Hey guys im having a problem with my car stalling in 1st gear/ nearly dying. Well today after work while i was driving home my car stalled in 1st gear(my foot was fully depressed on the clutch) I think to my self w.e maybe its a one time thing? anyways as I was pulling into my driveway it stalled again and I just turned it on and drove it into the garage then it started idling bad, the rpms started going below 1k and it was nearly dying. I let it idle like that for a good 2-3mins and it started to idle normally again. Im not sure but maybe its a bad tank of gas? My dad recently used my car and he was nice enough to put a full tank of gas, im thinking he didnt put premium.

Bad MAP sensor? Non-premium would just cause a bit of loss in performance, but not stalling.

 

^Hmm ill drive it around tomorrow and see if this problem occurs, anyone else have any ideas or experienced this?

 

I have it sometimes where if you're coming off about 3krpms then the the engine will drop below idle rpm (what it reads on the dash) to 400-600rpm and feel like it's gonna die, but then comes straight back up to idle... is that the same issue as you're having?

 

^If I rev it up yea it does go below 1k but I cant figure out why it was stalling in gear.
