2 cautions:

Properly support the car before you crawl under it.

Loosen the fill plug(s) before you remove the drain plug(s).

The second is unlikely to matter, but you don't want to risk having no oil in the differential or transmission and then finding out that you need to drive to the store to buy a tool...

other then what xviper said:

if you only buy 2 quarts of honda mtf and 1 quart of mobile 1 75w90 gear oil, try not to spill any, you will use almost all of both up, you don't have much left over when you fill the tranny and diff, so anything more then a little spill and you may not have enough fluid. if i were, you may want to buy an extra quart of each since its your first time doing it and everyone screws up their first time doing something new

you'll get oil on your hands, the bottles will get slippery and you may drop them or accidentally knock them over, so having an extra bottle of each would be a good idea i think

...Or the plastic tube will slide off of the gear lube bottle at such an angle that it will spill onto the front of your shirt and down your arm. Well, that's if you're me! I absolutely had an extra bottle on hand, and used it! Ah, nothing like the aroma of fresh gear oil in the morning.

don't forget to have the car level when you filling the tranny and diff or else it will run out too much fluid or not enough and overfill either or.

Thank you guys for the extremely helpful info. I bought the fluids today, but didn't buy extra. I guess i'll have to be careful. I plan on buying the pump thingy from autozone, so maybe that will prevent me from spilling. I'm gonna do it tomorrow, so well see.

Greg

PS the honda dealership only had 1 crush washer. I need a total of 2 correct?

the crush washers (some may argue) but can be reused if you don't have a new one, just don't make a habit out of it.
