If you're planning on going FI and squirting then you should just build a motor for it. That stroker motor will not hold up long term and will not be reliable at all under those conditions. I know it's been mentioned but I hope you have REALLY DEEP pockets and another car to drive while the S2000 is broken.

I believe there was a scan of a japanese article someone made before and it stated the compression to be 12.16...a little high if you're planning on running boost also. If you plan to run boost, why not just resleeve the block, overbore, and do a mild stroker...you'll have a stronger block and better rod:stroke ratios. In order to get 2.3L, the stroke will have to be increased to about 96-97mm (I don't know the exact volume of the kit). At that stroke and the F20C's rod length, the rod:stroke ratio will still be slightly better (almost the same) as a B18C's, so that's why they're able to rev to 9k still. I'm very interested to see someone run this kit, but would prefer to see it continue NA (e.g. Toda cams, maybe ITB's). The 12.16CR would be high for a street-driven turbo car...it could be done, but you'd like have to run race fuel and have very good engine management (e.g. individual cylinder tuning ala Motec and one other brand I can't remember).

What about the using the stroker kit and staying N/A ?

The engine w/ the stroker kit could still be relied upon correct ?

Relied upon for what? The redline would need to be reduced, and proper fuel management would be needed... or BOOM ... clack ... clack ... clack ...

The stroker kit would be more reliable then strapping a supercharger on ?

I think it is all relative... the engine wasn't built to handle FI, but it also wasn't built to handle the extra stress and heat from stroking the engine... Also, HondaTwincam claims that the 2.3 L will retain the 9K redline..... I would NOT boost this engine... there would just be too much stress on the engine... just my .02, but you would be asking for trouble or a much thinner wallet...

Just because this topic has alot of redline and stuff. I don't know if I was dreaming or something, but I remember I read somethinb about a F20c engine in greece with 11k redline. Is that true? Or is just just because want a redline that high i'm thinking of that?

Yeah, I'm the one that posted about it. I've yet to be able to substantiate that rumor. It'd be nice if it were true, but I need proof before I believe.
