Pretty easy, you can see it if you get down on the ground on the drivers side and look at the transmission.

When you guys do the modification do you allow all of the fluid to drain and completely replace it? I was looking to completely replace the clutch fluid but could not find how to do it.
thanks,
nico

I got it done. Thanks for showing the pick Billman that made the snap ring really easy to remove! When bleeding the clutch, does anyone use the gravity bleed method? I think I may have to bleed the clutch again.

I asked my honda tech guy to do it for me and he couldn't find anything called a clutch delay valve. I even told him it was a part of the slave cylinder and still nothing. He was a platinum tech too! I was so shocked I just left

Mine did at first, because I did not have a hose that would fit and was impatient, so we just bled the fluid into a rag, LOL. I don't think I got a good bleed, but I got lucky and towards the end of the first drive (as I was heading home to bleed the clutch again), I think the air worked its way out of the reservoir. Once that happened the clutch was night and day and I could really tell the difference of not having the CDV in.

I just did a delay valve removal to an existing 04 slave cylinder.....anybody do this yet? It's easy, $0.00

Scroll down a little for pic and details...
I did this a while back on my 05. I ended up drilling a very small pin hole on the outside of were the lock ring seats. I couldn't get it out any other way, even with my new Craftsman pick set. I read some had better luck but not me. Either way it's no big deal. Drill a hole or use picks, both work and this mod will save your clutch if you have not cooked it yet.

I was also told that this mod along with an AP1 flywheel and PP are great on an AP2. Revs faster but still holds the revs well enough between shifts. There are lighter flywheels but the AP1 is a pretty good balance between too light and too heavy. Anyone have any opinions on these mods used together on an AP2?
