Man that Snap Ring was impossible!!!..
Let it be known that your pick will need to be real sharp to pop the snap ring out.
I took a large 2"+ safety pin shown here with bent the tip. When the ring came out, it came flying out, so do this in a place that will allow you to find it...
Good luck you may need it!
And the result you ask... I still get clutch slipage..
!#@!!f!!K*^%
Above...
And No, Honda dealer won't install that for you, if they do it will be at $100/hour and they can get in trouble with the factory for doing it... I'd just buy the part and give it to a local mech if you don't wanna do it yourself.

I used a set of mechanics pics from autozone. The snap ring put up a fight, but I was finally able to get it out after 1/2 an hour. Just remember to tighten you bleeder valve well after you bleed your clutch! I only hand tightened it like a dumbass, which resulted in it coming loose during my first redline shift after the cdv mod. I had to re bleed my clutch on the side of the road, not fun. This mod make a huge difference in clutch grab and feel, however I occasionally still get slippage on my 1-2 shift, but this is probably because my car had 18k miles when I took out the cdv...

It's inside the slave cylinder (the light colored on is the AP2 one, under the black cap on the top right)
The slave cylinder is on the side of the transmission:
