Default 2004 ap2

I bought an 04 AP2 a couple months ago. Friend of mine was looking under the hood and was confident that i had an ap1 engine. Can anyone tell by this picture? What would point it out?

Check the drivers’ side front corner of the head. It’ll be below the intake, but check that number. It’ll start with F2XX. It looks like your heat shield is missing above the header. Take some more detailed engine bay photos.

Welp, what's done is done. Find an 02-03 AP1 ecu so that you at least get to use the rev range of the engine. Having an F20 that only revved to 8200 would be infuriating. If you have an AP2 trans/AP2 chassis with an AP1 engine, I imagine it would be a pretty cool setup.

Well, does redline cutoff at 8k, or does it rev to 9? Maybe they already put an ap1 ecu in there. Redline it and watch tach to find out.

i have to take it out for a spin and pay attention to it. I ran it on the highway with an srt8 the other day and redline seemed really high but i wasnt watching the rpms. Im gunna take it out and check.
