2004 S2000 OEM alarm going crazy
My alarm started acting up two days ago. First it started with going off as soon as I unlock the car and open the door. I'd push the lock and unlock buttons on the remote a bunch of times (not sure if that worked) and it would shut up in 3-4 seconds. Then when I get out and lock the car with the remote it would do two quick honks which it never used to do before.
Today this crap alarm took things to a whole new level. Now if I just unlock the car (with remote or with my keys) and open the door it would go off and not shut up for maybe 30 seconds, I didn't time it, it's just embarrassing, trying to shut this thing up.
My car already has upward of 140K miles on it, I don't really care for the alarm any longer, nobody will steal my ugly cracked seats or gear shift ball or my OEM stereo. I just want to get this alarm problem solved. If someone knows an easy way to fix this or to completely disable the alarm, I'd appreciate any tips. I don't want to spend money on a dealer if there's an easy way to disable this nuisance.
I tried googleing for answers but couldn'd find anything decent.
Thanks,
Roman.
P.S. This car was purchased in California

Thank you guys for the info, it was very valuable. It looks like the issue has now gone away. And it's not the battery, sorry, I forgot to mention that I bought a new battery 2 months ago.
After tryiing all kinds of things I found a post that describes disarming the alarm where I pushed and held down the remote's lock button for about 3-5 seconds. The alarm started acting normal again. I am not sure if that did it or something else unrelated
