Default 2006 Drive by wire & Traction Control

Is there switch on the dash to disable the traction control? I like the wire hooked up to the pedal I now have, what will the chip do for me?

Yes, you can disable the traction control on the 2006 model. There's a switch.

Is that what you're asking?

From Honda

Also new for 2006 is Honda's Vehicle Stability Assist system, making the S2000 more stable and forgiving than ever during street driving or in inclement weather conditions. Working in concert with the Drive-by-Wire system, VSA continuously monitors yaw rate, steering input, throttle input, and braking pressure to determine if the car is following its driver's intended path, and can independently coordinate each of the disk brakes through the 4-channel anti-lock brake system, along with the throttle, to enhance vehicle stability. While this serves to effectively enhance driver control during acceleration, braking, and cornering, the system can be disabled with the touch of a button when conditions warrant it. To help provide optimum stopping power, the braking system also features Electronic Brake Distribution and Brake Assist.
not a bad system and is using Yaw rate sensing so should be interesting to try out. Of course you could turn it all off which is fine. It a natural progression for this to now be on the car.

We all love the S for its purest abiity but that don't sell cars and ultimately thats all Honda does. This option should pull in more customers and hey you never know the VSA for wet /slippy weather just could be a good thing if it means you can keep pushing the car and let the VCA keep you facing forwards

Computer is controlling the car, not the driver! Well you hit the button to disengage, but you still need the computer to tell the engine what your foot is doing. Thoughts on chip vs. cable controlling the throttle. Will it feel as hooked up?
