Default 2006 Power Steering Removal?

Hello Everyone, Ive been removing parts for weight loss purposes and this is one of the last things i would like to do. Does anyone have a DIY on 06+. Or is this something not many of us are doing? Any info would help. Thanks

it's electronic power steering... there's really isn't much you can remove. you could unplug the steering rack if you just want the feeling of no power steering.

You see where the power steering pump is.... right next to the power steering fluid? Well now get out from under someones else hood and go back to yours... BECAUSE it's electronic power steering. You can remove the steering rack if you want.. let us know how that goes on a test dive after.

yes there is... It's called the steering wheel. If you remove the rack , might as well remove the steering wheel at the same time.
I cant wait to see this!

yes, thank you. the rack needs to stay in the car otherwise there is no way to steer!

the only steering elements you could remove are some wires and the EPS ECU which would save about one pound.
