Default 226whp and more to come!

Just dynoed my baby today and happily hit 226whp and about 157tq. My car is an 02 with an 04 motor, tranny and rear end. My only engine mods are a T1R 63mm exhaust with test pipe and a version 2 aem intake. I will dyno the car again next Monday when my J's racing header is installed and in mid April when my 70mm J's racing exhaust comes in. I'm assuming that I'll be running more lean with that combo so summer mods will be a AEM EMS and some TWM individual throttle bodies. I'm really shooting for a safe 250 to 260 whp daily driver S.

Enjoyably loud! I've heard louder so I feel mine is very tolerable.

Were you able to dyno stock (sans intake, exhaust, and test pipe) on the same dyno? Just want to see a baseline and what the actual gains were. It's nice to see you doing things in stages and dyno'ing each time...that's really helpful for us hopefuls that are (endlessly) saving up. If possible, can you dyno with the AEM EMS sans ITBs (when you get them), then with ITBs...I'd like to see the actual gains from ITBs alone (and subsequent tuning).

Considering what others have put down it's safe to say the gains are on the order of +10 to +15 for both HP and TQ. Not bad for intake/exhaust. Stock 04 with just and AEM V2 has put down 218/150. 240 is probably doable but 250 and above may be a strech. Good Luck!

I wish I had dynoed the motor stock but I was not concerned with numbers at that time. I can safely assume that my two mods net about 12-15whp together. I will dyno every new mod one by one for now on

Any more pics? Preferably of the exhaust installed. I am looking either this T1R, the 70mm one (If it ever comes out) or a few other singles, just want to compare looks.

Zthis,

Are you using the stock '02 Ecu? Are you revving the motor to 9k?

no, I'm using the 04 ecu but hell my dyno sheet looks like it could climb more with out a rev cutoff. I'm going to wait on my AEM EMS to attempt this.
