Default 2nd Gear pop in MY07

I"ve tried doing a search for my problem but I haven't had any luck.

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...0&#entry8968825 says about exactly what I"m seeing with my car. I"m having 2nd gear pop out when I take my foot off the gas and coast down (in gear) from high RPMs.

Some days its worse than others, but it happens about 75% of the time I do this.

I haven't been able to find a list of the TSBs for my year (the only list I found was https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...ic=103975&st=0 )

I plan on having my 7500 mile "service" done by the dealership tomorrow and figure I would get this gear problem fixed while I was at the dealership.

My car is 100% stock. What should I be expecting from the dealership? I'm sure the 7500 mile service will cost me something (what does that typically cost?), but I"m assuming the transmission issue should be covered under warranty. Also, this is my DD car... how long should this take to diagnose/fix? I can get access to another car, but I would much rather drive my s2k if I could drop the car off in the morning and have it done some time late in the day.

Thanks for reading.

Take it back to the stealership for warranty! And from what I know the gears usually pop out b/c of bad synchros..

could be... I hear all this talk about how smooth the S's shifting is... mine isn't terrible, but it doesn't seem noteworthy either. I can feel the synchros pretty easily.

Side question... with the car OFF and the clutch pedal to the floor (out?), should I be able to move freely between all the gears? I have tried this and I would have to really force the car into 5th/6th.
