no....have whoever did it redo it with 10w30.

If it's the dealer they should know better. If it's someone else tell them to look at the oil cap it says 10w30 right on it....

The issue is not necessarily the first number, but the second number. 20 weight is not the right weight for our car's.

The first number is the weight of the oil cold, the second is the weight at operating temperature.

This is a high performance sport's car that rev's to 9 grand. 20 isn't heavy enough to properly do the job of protecting this engine.

Well i took the car back to the oil change place and the guy said he wrote the sticker wrong and that the oil is 10w20. But before that he said that the oil cap said it was 5w20. So should i belive him or not? Its mobil1 if it matters.

I wouldn't believe him now. He's lost all credibility. Especially with that crap, "the oil cap says 5w-20".

Make him do it over and watch him put the oil in. Many Hondas are spec'd for 5w-20, but not the S2K. He probably assumed that yours was like every Civic or Accord he's ever worked on...it's not.

The fact that it's Mobil 1 makes no difference here. The car is spec'd for 10w-30 or 5w-40...not 5w-20.
