Hey guys,

I'm getting a whine/low-pitched whistle type noise in 6th gear and during decel only at around 65-70 mph. It doesn't happen in neutral or any other gear, nor when i'm accelerating in 6th. Only during decel. Does not sound like it's coming from the diff. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

 

I'll go ahead and get the first question out of the way: how long has it been since the transmission and diff fluids were changed?

 

Never, the car has 10k miles. I will do it very soon tho.

prolly clutch whine or the diff whine. i wouldnt be concerned.

 

Never? Is it a new car? I was under the impression that new cars were supposed to have their diff fluid changed fairly soon, like within the first few thousand miles.
