75W-90 vs 75w-110 DIFF fluid
I"ve seen some threads on this but wanted to ask this question to more of specific scenario, i live in GA and its hot as crap here, i just got 4.77 gears on my diff and i know some whine comes with that and its about time to change the fluid from the break in period, now i was wondering of running 75w-90 would help or going with Amsoil severe gear 75w110? which is what most guys on here swear by... help please
From reading the compiled oil logs it seems like even 75w-90 is too light. But i couldnt find any of that LE 607 stuff so i just went with Royal Purple 75w-90. If you live in a hot area, wouldn't you want it more thick?

The lighter weight should have better constant lubrication due to its weight. The heavier lube should have a better start-up protection due to the residuals and less "drip-away" when parked for extended periods of time. I'm pretty sure this is the reason for multi-weight oils and lubes to begin with. Which is better to use? I don't know.
