Default ABS not working. What could be wrong?

MY AP1 ABS light never comes on even when switching on the car.

I've tried disconnecting a sensor as well as disconnecting the ABS module plug also it still doensn't come on.

The parking brake light comes on when I pull up the parking brake though.

Anyone had similar problems? What kind of a repair bill am I looking at?

I haven't checked the ABS light bulb though but what are the chances of the BULB blowing?

I've tried stamping on the brakes, doesn't feel that theres any ABS coming on too.

try and lock up the brakes at speed.
if it locks then you have an ABS problem.

Your ABS lamp should definetly come on at start-up.

If you bought your car used (maybe recently) maybe the previous seller has 'hidden' the fact that the ABS is broken...

When you do a 'try and lock up the brakes at speed' test as suggested above, please be EXTREMELY CAREFUL as you will NOT be able to control your vehicle.

PS: Looks like you just bought your car..!? I think you might have purposely been mislead...

Yea. just got it seems so that the seller might have hid it. But may not have been intentional. The seller didn't know jack about the s2000. Pure Poser. But i'll go fix it.. some how.. hope the Honda dealer can do it.
Best case scenario, ABS bulb blown, and dirty ABS sensors.--- Dudes.. I'm optimistic

Let's clarify "lock up the brakes at speed". Don't be risky here. Wait for a rainy day, and go to an empty parking lot. At 10-15mph, do a panic stop. If your ABS isn't working, you'll simply slide to a stop. Much safer than doing something "at speed" on dry pavement, and no risk of flat spotting tires.

all that is un-necessary. All you have to do is turn the car on and put it in 1st gear. While slowing rolling in 1st listen if the ABS is being activated. The sound of the ABS activation is more like a little grinding or thump sound. If you don't hear it then that means that you're ABS is non functional

i don't mean for the guy to lock up the wheels untill he stops. just listen for either the ABS pulsation or tire squeel. moment he hears that, test is done, ease up on the pedal and continue on.
