Acceleration Cut Out at High Revs
Hey guys,
Just took my 2000 S2000 out for a spin and while revving up to 9000 rpm in 1st gear, the engine pretty much stopped accelerating and became jerky - I had to put it into 2nd straight away and it was alright.
I had just taken it out and the engine was completely cold - I hadn't warmed it up or anything, and I was going up a reasonably steep hill - would this be a normal reaction?
Just want to make sure everything's alright.

Aha .. so how many revs can I legitimately rev up to when the engine temperature is under 3 bars?

Adam,
Try this. Wake up at 3AM, put on your sneakers and then run up about 6 flights of steps. When you get to the top of the steps sit down and think about what you're asking your car to do.
Disrespectful.
