Default advice on Check engine light

ive had a check engine light since i purchased my s, i got it checked out before i bought the car, the car is an 06 ap2, anyways, i was wondering if i should just go ahead and buy a new primary o2 sensor, or, try the o2 sensor fix from bigdaddie.com. im just worried if i buy the 02 sensor fix, that it wont work because my o2 sensor may be faulty, i hate that new o2 sensors cost soooo much, also, i have a berk test pipe and fujitsubo exhaust.

Does that testpipe have "CEL fix" (only way to tell is to look inside) if not you need to add sparkplug defouler (or two) to get rid of CEL.... *(dont buy new sensor until you've tried that)

Have you had the CEL checked to make sure it is the O2 sensor? Check what code you get, find the code here: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/378...-light-thread/

Then you can figure out what to do. More than likely you just need to fix the sensor higher up so its not sniffing the full stream of exhaust. There are a few adapters out there you can get as well as the spark plug anti fouler method you can use.

Yes the test pipe has cel fix but it didn't work for me, that's why I'm thinking I need a new sensor.

Well, pulled the secondary o2 sensor again just for the heck of it, and the tip (metal part with the small holes in it) is snapped off. Have no clue how, so I'm gonna go ahead and say that's my culprit?

It snapped off because the cat media is broken loose and slammed into it.

A spark plug spacer will prevent future breaking.
