Latest update:
I have the idle running a bit more stable now (Approx 1100 RPM), and have taken the car for a very short and conservitive lap around the autoshop to build up a datalog for Torquefreaks to play with. (All in all, a 120 second run, all below 3K RPM's)

We are still working the issues with the EMS not feeding the correct inputs to the dash temp indicator. This is still a work in progress, as my tuner stateside is researching the correct pulse width settings. Until this is done, I'll just have to monitor the temp's via a laptop.

Other then that, I've noticed that the radiator fans have not kicked on, and we have idled the car until the engine temp sensor read 202F. (Which i believe is the switch-on point for the fans, 190 to 203 as per OEM manual) I'm just wondering if this has to be enabled via the EMS, and if so how can I do this?

S2000_Europe: Do you have a copy of your 2.5L basemap I could look at?

The radiator fan settings are wrong and need to be changed. The AEM forums have posts on what to do. I don't remember off the top of my head. IIRC, the new V1.19 base maps should have them correct though.

Somebody also posted on here and the AEM forums the settings for the temp gauge. Another (better IMO) option is to run Modifry's temp gauge driver.

I'm pretty sure this is what your looking for. Very useful stuff and I recommend reading through it but if you just want the settings they're on the second page, midway down.

I just posted this on AEM after reading though some of the threads there... To be honest, i'm pretty disgusted with how AEM is handling this.

"Has AEM come out with an official fix for this so we can get our radiators and fans working like stock, or are we on our with this one?

Or

Does someone have a "No-B/S" work-around with details, instructions, and screen shots on how to set this up properly? (Everything I've seen so far details very little, or shows few if any screen shots backing their solution)

I'd of though that "right out of the box" and base cal loaded, that the EMS should be able to (at the very least) handle the basic functions of our S2000's. I'm starting to regret purchasing this system the more I look at it.

So far the EMS can't handle the following without modification:
-Dash temp display.
-AC and Radiator control
-Does not fit in the location of the stock ECU it replaces.
-Does not have an ext. connector to install a wideband O2 and controller directly to the 1052 ECU. (You have to splice in the O2 5v output, and install a 12v relay to power up the O2 wideband... dam thing draws like 4 - 6 amps of power!) "

Stoner I remember that with Sean we tried to control the fans, in order to start sooner and we figure out that the fans started earlier... but we started to hear a tic tic tic noise in the fuse box, we introduced stock setting for the fan and the noise dissapeared.

also Do not usen mugen o spoon thermo pack since the AEM does not regonize it.

I cna give you my turbo map and you cna check some setting that are same for NA and Turbocars. PM your email

Here's the temp gauge solution that is plug and play- no messing with the AEM required.
http://www.modifry.com/products/index.htm

The radiator settings isn't a big deal. IIRC, the new V1.19 maps have it fixed. Edit: I just used the compare feature to check and the new V1.19 has the same I/O settings that my workmap does (other than the ones listed below) and it runs the fans just fine. Either that, or the compare feature is missing some of the settings. On my 30-1012 EMS here's what I changed:
Radiator fan on/off from 32 degrees to 185/180 degrees

What sort of AC problems are you having? Mine works just like stock.

This may not be 100% plug and play; no wiring, tuning, or modification required, but it sure beats trying to wire in and tune another EMS!
