uh, i'm not sure. if that's what the instructions say, then you're right, and i must've missed it while installing it. but if you install it with the wedge shape on the inside, how are you supposed to take it off from the outside to drain anything?

I'm gonna check the instrustions cause I can just reach under the front bumper and take it out if I have to switch it but i'm pretty sure it goes inside i'll check

any luck finding anything? i'm studying for a midterm, but i'm curious to know if i skipped over something during the install. i was in a hurry, hence the use of superglue...

Well the AEM instructions just told me to install it in the lower pipe but w/o a pic lol. So I called AEM they said it does protrude about a 1/2" from the bottom of the lower pipe. In case water collects it can release thru the "duckbill", he also reccomended to remove it put a super glue around the middle of the two rubber edges and reinstall I did so and it is in firmly I can't even turn it in the hole, he said the chances of it sucking into the engine are none and loosing it will never happen if super-glued.

sweet! i think i'm going to trim it a bit if i lower my car, just so there's less of a chance that it will rub. i put an injen hydroshield over the filter, so hopefully that'll diminish the chances of hydrolock.

I just have learned to avoid super rainy downpour days it'll be fine it's the price you pay for CAI performance v.s Short Ram but the V2 rocks!
