Air pump in the bumper ?

Default Air pump in the bumper ?

Here we go!!bear with me!!

In the bumper O/S, that is if your right hand drive (UK) Car.

There is a pump which i think as got to do with emissions As anybody any idea or pics of a complete system pics,as we can not work out if there is somthing missing!! as i bought the car from salvage!!Yard .Help please thanks Burnie.

I think european models have a headlight washer. Maybe it's part of that system, just guessing though.

There is an air pump on that side of the car that is an air pump for emissions. I removed mine as it served no purpose with the test pipe. Mine kept comming on all the time after removing the cat.

did you remove the evap fuel system then too? it serve no purpose as well, now that the cat is gone. How ever the air pump also helps warm the car up on cold starts.

no, i didn't remove that. I think the air pump only helps warm the cat, nothing to do with the rest of the car.

You sure that CEL didn't keep showing up because of the Air Pump and NOT the test pipe?
