air solenoid? problems

If it sounds like that, you should try to just switch around the 2 rubber hoses.
That should stop the hissing (that can be heard outside the car).

I never got a CEL though.

Replacing the part is pretty expensive for a piece of plastic..

that is the exact sound it is making. so i just need to switch the two hoses around that are attached to the solenoid?

Yes. Just switch the 2 hoses on the solenoid around, reset the ECU, and you shouldnt get the CEL anymore. If it does, get the code pulled and post it here.

here are some photos of what it looked like before. the first two are the before, when i WAS having the noise and CEL.



the second two are after i switched the hoses around. no noise now, but i still have a CEL. i havent reset the ECU yet, but started it up and drove around the block a few times. CEL still there.

problem fixed. thanks everyone. what it was, was the hoses. all i did was switch them around and reset the ECU. light gone, noise gone, and running just fine. thanks for all the help everyone. if it comes back, then i think i might have a real problem lol.

That just saved you a few $100 for the little solenoid

It took a honda mechanic and a comparison with another S2K to fix the problem with mine a few weeks back. We ordered the little bugger, put it on with the hoses still in the wrong order and found out it was the hoses..

that sucks you had to buy the part and then find out it was just switched around like mine. thanks for saving me the money!! i know i wont make this little mistake again lol

you know the vac hose routing is printed on the hood sticker yes?
