I really think you've got blue smoke which would probably be turbo seal-related.

Do you have an intercooler? Leaks there can get into the intake.

its a air to air intercooler. no coolant should be going thru it. my hoses are routed right. i don't overheat and the heater works great. it happened again today but the smoke is definately bluish. doesn't smell sweet like coolant and there is no coolant oil mixing anywhere. i think my turbo is dying. thats fine with me because i'm about to order a new kit, i just need a few more $$ before i do so

Something not mentioned is valve stem seals.
I'm not sure if this is an issue in an f2x engine, but most of the GM/Mopar/Honda engines I have had that were worn out (150k+ hard miles), the valve stem seals would eventually deteriorate and leak. Oil trapped on top of them slowly leaks between them and the stem, gets on your valves (top side) and when you start the car, gets blown into the combustion chamber, burns and smokes. You only see a brief puff of smoke, at startup, then it clears out. If the car sits for a while, the oil leaks back down the stems, and the process is started again.

It's possible, and would not show on a compression or leakdown test as they are not there for holding pressure, just keeping oil from getting down the stems.

its valve stem seals.

i'm upgrading to a mase kit really soon and i'm planning on changing the retainers and valve stems then but do you think thats the problem or is my turbo going bad??
i already thought of that. i think its the turbo. it never did it before the turbo and i've only put 1300 miles on the kit so far since december
