Dont go with the oem one. I've read many reports of oem brand new one failing onlya few fays after install. Ballade sports has one; billman has one. Billman may be closer to you, but his requires core change. Both are reinforced and will last a lifetime

I think you may be thinking of the TCT tensioner and not the Serp Belt Tensioner. AFAIK only OEM and Generic (Grant) parts are available for replacement.

Confusing because my thread is titled TCT, I thought that's what it was.

Replaced the tensioner and viola! Noises are gone.

Soon as I compressed the new tensioner to put the belt back on it was immediately obvious this was the solution to the problem. Without reference, I had no idea how the tensioner was supposed to feel or sound when compressed but mine (while it still held the belt OK) was noisy and un-smooth to compress. This $130 part fixed that right up!
