Default Another ticking sound video

Here's the video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_Tbq...e_gdata_player

MY02, just under 60,000 miles, completely stock. Had oil change less than 200 miles ago, and 60k service (includes valve adjustment and new spark plugs) done at Science of Speed here in Phoenix very recently.

It was making this tick before the valve job, which I thought would take care of it. No dice. It seems to have gotten louder over the last few months.

It's almost inaudible at idle, but give a little rev and you can hear it. Intake side (90% sure), gets faster with RPM. I can hear it pretty loudly in the driver seat and when I drive by walls/barriers it is very obvious. This video is with a warm engine (the throttle body lever was uncomfortably warm to the touch).

No other weird engine behavior—normal power, hits vtec fine, no CEL.

Any thoughts? Much appreciated. I have a very untrained ear.

Look up Billman250 Timing Chain Tensioner.

Should solve your issue.

I'm not convinced it's the TCT. If you check this video at 1:15, the TCT noise seems lower pitched and on the other side of the engine.

That's helpful, because I'm not entirely sure it's not just a normal sound!

Good to know, thanks. Starting to think this is just normal noise (new to me, though).

I am replacing the acc. belt this week—it's pretty worn. Wonder if that could be making that noise?
