any diff sugestions?
also, re: pinion bearing.... when a pinion bearing goes, it usually makes a whining, not a clicking. but, if it does go bad, often times you'll see oil leaking out where the propeller shaft connects to the diff.
I think I have the same clicking...I also believe it is my diff. I've had it for a year though now and it hasn't created any problems.
My Problem: Get a clicking noise about once a second at 7mph (happens between 5mph and 17mph) while turning...the harder the turn the faster the clicking. Only happens when in neutral or if clutch is depressed. Will not happen when engaged in gear. I've taken apart my CV Joints, regreased them, regreased the splines and examined for any leaks and everything is ok...the LSD still does what it is supposed to. This first started, or at least was first noticed after some hard autoxing.
But again, I don't know what it is...had it for a year now and it has been ok. I'm just going to buy a diff with 4.57s and ship my diff back and the the core charge back. Hopefully that fixes the problem. But yes the diff works.
